Sahar Raza-Qazilbash is a mother of three who believes that the most powerful lessons are often found in the smallest moments.

After starting her career in microbiology, she found her heart in education- working with children across early childhood and elementary grades, where joy, faith, and curiosity are always close by.

She is the author and illustrator of the Sarah & Fluffy series- joyful, rhyming picture books that help Muslim children explore Islamic values through cookies, compassion, and wonder.

The first book in the series, Sarah & Fluffy: Tales of Hajj and Eid, was inspired by the questions and spirit of her own children, especially her daughter, who brings a little bit of “Sarah” to life every day. And Fluffy? Well… let’s just say he may or may not be a real life kitten with a lot of feelings (and possibly some allergies). 🐾

When she’s not writing, Sahar is likely baking with her kids, volunteering at the masjid, helping with the school PTA, or organizing the next Scout meeting — always finding ways to nurture little hearts and build joyful community.
